Accessibility Audit 2014

In June, 2014 Bangladesh Society for the Change and Advocacy Nexus (B-SCAN) had taken a step to perform an audit of the government public buildings and places for persons with disabilities. This was for the first time in Bangladesh an accessibility audit has been conducted by a team comprising different types of persons with disabilities, architect and civil engineer. This audit was done with the technical support of five Disabled People’s Organizations (DPO) and NGOs and the financial support of WaterAid Bangladesh in 20 building and places in Dhaka and Chittagong within 2 months in total.
