Manual Wheelchair Lift at Siddheshwari Boys High School
K. M. Siam Farzin is a student with cerebral palsy and also a wheelchair user. He is studying at Siddheswari Boys’ High School. But after passing the sixth grade it caused a big problem that his classroom shifted from the ground floor to the 2nd floor. In the context of the application to B-SCAN from his father, Mr. K. M. Siam Mobarakullah Shimul and also with his financial assistance, B-SCAN initiated a Wheelchair Manual Lift in that school. Only to facilitate the education of the student with disabilities, B-SCAN arranged the technical assistance in making the lift. It is the first time in the country that this type of lift is installed in any educational institution. With the sincere desire and cooperation of the school authority the Manual Lift was made for smooth accessibility of student with disabilities up to two storied. On 9 Mar, 2014 the inauguration was held with the renowned author Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, who is also the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and the adviser of B-SCAN.
Mohiuddin Babul, President of Spinal Cord Injuries Development Association Bangladesh (SCIDAB) gave the technical assistance in building the manual lift, who is also a wheelchair user.
Cultural Organization of Canadian Expatriate Bangladeshi donated a small fund in the name of their late Vice President and renowned social worker Rina Haque to build two ramps to reach the lift.

Arrangement to watch Cricket at ZAC
B-SCAN arranged to watch the cricket match between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on 12th Feb, 2014, for some wheelchair users with the support of Nurture.
Finally the National Museum Accessibility Ensured
For the long lasting two years effort of B-SCAN, universal accessibility is ensured in the Museum. The construction of separate toilets for the wheelchair users and a ramp for persons with disabilities started in the National Museum on October 2012, which ended in January 2013. Honorable Information Minister Mr. Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the Ramp on 1 March 2013.
